What is PPE in animal care?
PPE that provides a barrier from particles, chemicals, high energy light, and/or infectious materials entering the eye and is often used in conjunction with other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, gowns, masks, or respirators.
Basic Cat Care:

Provide fresh food and water to the cats.

Clean and sanitize litter boxes regularly.

Monitor and maintain the cats' living area for cleanliness and hygiene.
Socialization:

Spend time with the cats, providing companionship and socialization.

Play with the cats and engage them in interactive activities.
Health Monitoring:

Report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns to the adoption center coordinator.
Behavioral Enrichment:

Provide toys to keep the cats mentally and physically stimulated.
Create a comfortable and stress-free environment for the cats.
Adoption Assistance:

Interact with potential adopters, answering questions about the cats.
Cleaning and Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize cat kennels, bowls bedding.

Ensure the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the adoption area.
Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service to visitors and potential adopters.

Stay up-to-date on policies and procedures for petsmart and rescue alike.
Safety and Security:

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of both cats and volunteers.

Report any safety concerns to petsmart management and rescue leadership.
Team Collaboration:

Work as part of a team with other volunteers, rescue leadership, and store staff.
